Whiskymesse Limburg 2004
On april 24th and 25th the Whisky Fair in Limburg took place for the third time.
Some of us already arrived friday evening to assemble our exhibition stand and after a while with some carrying of delcious drops, which Weisers had planned for the fair, we were all satisfied with our effort.
After Jutta, Schorsch and Ralf had finished their Glanfarclas-wall, we went out eating and afterwards we had some beer and drams in the Irish Pub.
Next morning it started! A crowd of people flocked to the city hall of Limburg and there were brisk trades at our stand. Since we did shift work, we had some time to look around on our own. Some well-known german and foreign whisky specialists were present and also some famous distillery managers had find their way, for talking about the world of whisky.
Jim McEwan told once again his amusing stories and the whole program was rounded with music from Robin Laing and Paddy Smith.
At our own stand we sold bottles and served whisky to visitors. Many wanted help and we told them all we knew about whisky and about our club and meetings. We also presented our own bottlings as for example the Äppelwoi Finish and some visitors bottled their own bottle from our Tomatin-cask from 1980.
After several hours the first day passed and most of us went out for eating and for ending up in the Irish Pub again.
Sunday continued were saturday had ended and in the evening we picked up the rest and drove home again.
